Saturday, December 15, Christmas in the City, 12:30-4:00 p.m.
This is a favorite annual event! Each year, Christmas in the City brings holiday magic to thousands of Boston-area kids and their families - kids and families who've been experiencing the uncertainty of homelessness and the stress of poverty. We get to help create that magic event by volunteering to help get the party ready. This year, we will work in the toy room for Christmas in the City. It is always hard to say exactly what we will be doing but most likely we will be sorting toys and helping social workers "shop" for the things on their Christmas wish lists. This year we have reserved 12 spaces, at least 3 of those are for adults who can drive. This is open to grades 7-12. Please e-mail Betsey if you would like to come and/or if you can drive. Permission slips can be found here.
